The F1 is coming back.

I'm not talking about some long lost spirit of the sport because I'm talking about the Mclaren F1.

It seems as though Mclaren is making a new one to sell alongside the MP4-12C and for the moment car is being nicknamed the Mega Mac. The car is set to be sold in 2014 and I shall run you through a few details.

It'll use a 799bhp 5 litre V8 for power. This mega engine, see what I did there, will be mated to a dual clutch Graziano seven speed gearbox. At the moment Mclaren is looking at 2.8 seconds for the the 60 sprint and 20 seconds for the 200 marathon. If this is correct then the Mclaren will hit 200 faster than the mighty Bugatti Veryon.

At the centre of its going round corners fast tech will be a similar Carbon Tub to the MP4. It will be extensively retuned however to help it cope with the extra performance. It will also feature aluminium pushrod suspension, hydraulic anti-roll control, adaptive dampers and Ferrari style 5 way traction control. I wonder if that means it'll have a small red manetinno switch on the steering wheel. To stop the thing it'll have carbon ceramic brakes as standard, brake steer (using the brakes to help steer the car) and brake force distribution. The last item helps keep the car absoloutely stable under brakes, so you shouldn't get any squirming.

To be honest it sounds incredible. It does make you wonder if Mclaren will consider making a more toned down supercar to rival the 911 Carrera. I could only imagine how epic a Mini Mac would be. Hey maybe it'll even make a sports car to rival the Boxter and Z4. If it does that'll be great but for now we've got the successor to the F1.

Doesn't it look stunning? Thanks for reading.
