A Sizzling Audi TT.

A had to title the blog in the way I did because the name of the new hotter TT RS is the Plus. Hmmm, it is an exquisite name worthy of the name world championships (I am told there is such a thing).

Lets get started with the engine. It'll be a tuned version of the 2.5 litre that is already doing business in the current standard RS. This version will produce an extra 20bhp and 11lbs/ft of torque bringing the total figure to 355bhp and 343lbs/ft respectively.

Fortunately all this power will not be wasted by a fat body as this car will only weigh 1,400kgs. This means be careful if there's a light breeze because it might just fly away. Speaking of flying the performance figures suggest it'll do just that with 60 being done in 4.1 seconds and the top speed is north of 170mph. Like every hot Audi for the last 60 years this will be made possible by a top notch quattro four wheel drive system. You also get a manual six speed gearbox and if you want to spend some extra wonga, a launch control system.

Apparently it has some revised suspension but that's not particularly interesting. What is interesting is a new adaptive damping system. What it does is use magnets to firm up the suspension in accordance with the drive select setting. I am also reading that it retains the same brakes as the standard RS.

Some important styling changes for you if you want to distinguish it from a standard RS in the street. The first is a new grille featuring a highly complicated diamond pattern plastic inserts. It sounds too complicated for it's own worth if you ask me. There are also carbon fibre reinforced plastic mirrors. Again a lot of tech speak. What is less complex is the redesigned fixed rear wing to help provide extra stability at full speed.

So how about price? You're looking at £50,000 which isn't that bad if I'm being honest with you. In fact that's less than I would guess. You'll have to shell out an extra £3,500 if you want to cut the roof off but that's about standard.

So what we have is a fast, good looking, technical masterpiece and all things considered, cheap Audi. Sounds good to me. Thankyou for reading todays blog and I hope you join me again soon.

On a little side note I'm prepping a big best of Autochun blog. It'll potentially include a sentence or two from ever blog under the Cars and Observations name. So what are the best moments? Find out soon.
