Some exciting news!

Now I'm not talking about anything to do with cars.

This blog is called Cars and Obdervations I know but I think sometimes that I have to blog about myself. I am after all the guy who runs this blog and I think it is necessary to sometimes let you know about what's going on in my life, as after all, what goes on in my life ultimately affects the blog. So here goes.

I have applied for the position of motorsport correspondent on the new University newspaper. We hold a meeting tomorrow about potential stories and column proposals. I will naturally be pitching ideas for both. The only thing I'm wondering and when something about me is on my mind it never goes away until I find a complicated way of dealing with it. The thing that's weighing on my mind is should I have attempted to get on the features team.

You see I'm on the news team which doesn't deal with reviews or anything of that sort. Although there is no guarantee that I would've ended up doing car reviews I can't help but think that I should've tried. Don't get me wrong though, I am very excited. The reason for that is that this would be the first time I have anything published in a professional organisation. Of course I do publish stories through Youtube and this blog but the thing is that it never has to go through any sub editing. The other thing is that I never have to get approval from anyone else to publish a story. I think of a story that sounds interesting in my own head (which is a unique and magical place) and then write it.

So that's it. That's the news and I hope I haven't bored you with it, an example of something that sounds interesting in my mind. In any case should I have gone for it? Sound of in the comments section below if you have any opinions on the matter.
