Mclaren MP4-12C

If you're reading this then you probably already know the facts. You have already read that the car has unconventional suspension and that it's very fast and also that it's very grippy.

So I will not waste your time telling you what you already know. What you probably don't know, however, is that this car is like stepping out of a smokers parlour and into a dew filled meadow. You see a lot of cars these days with more than a few buttons on their steering wheels. Take Ferrari for instance and their 458. You get a lot of buttons on the wheel for things like indicators, traction control and starting the engine. The result is something that looks very complex and fancy but ultimately, too complicated to operate.

The Mclaren, which is incidentally a direct rival for the 458, doesn't have that. The steering wheel is just a steering wheel. Although this approach looks backward in modern times it is in fact refreshing, hence the meadow metaphor from earlier. It is a car that knows it's role, and also it's a car that shows the manufacturer knows what it wanted. It wanted a car that would be good to drive, end of the story. As we've seen you know that it is, or, if this is the first time you've read anything on the MP4, you now know that everyone else knows that it is, and as a result, know for yourself that it is.

It is a car that indulges you in the drive and doesn't let your attention wonder elsewhere. That really is special in my blog.

If you do want some performance figures then I shall link you to another site that can tell you. http://insidelane.co.uk/?p=2970
