I must say that I'm a little confused as to why I'm chosing to blog about this today.
The interesting point to make is that GM went bankrupt in 2009. So you have to imagine that this is superb news for the company. In case you are unfamiliar with GM but I suspect you are, GM is the company behind Vauxhall and others like Chevrolet and Opel. There are more than that but these are the three that pop into my head straight away.
GM report that their sales have increased by 7.6% to 9 million cars this year. That's good and means that they have edged out the former king Toyota. Toyota have incidentally fallen to third in the table this year but it's hard to judge their performance as they've been struck with tidal issues (the Tsunami) and a spot of recall trouble. VW are in second place but claim they didn't count sales from their Chinese partners that GM did claim.
In any case we can only hope that GM don't slip back but I'll be surprised if they let that happen. For now thank you for reading and please come back again tomorrow.
