Fiesta and Z3.

I'm going to say something about sports cars quickly. And it will be quick since I have to go in a moment.

Recently my dad entrusted me with the task of driving his Z3 into the garage in which it sleeps, soundly I might add. And what I was thinking was how strikingly similar the sensation I got was to when I drive my Ford Fiesta. The car shook a little more and everything felt tighter than in my Ford but in truth it felt no less tameable than the Ford. The Fiesta gives me the same sense of purpose that the BM did. Of course the Beemer felt much more business like with it's seating position and all but the basic ways of commincating to the driver were the same. The gearbox felt attached to the engine, the handbrake had to be released with purpose. the pedals felt well connected and idealy weighted and the wheel had a strikingly identicle sense of feel.

I think the fact that a little 1.3 litre Fiesta feels as mechanically sound and purposeful as a full blown 3.0 litre BMW sports car, is very impressive.
