Finally managed to find some televised GT 3 racing yesterday. And boy was it good!
Let's just say that it has everything F1 doesn't! Overtakes. What was brilliant fun was working out what all the cars were. Oooooo it's an R8 and what's this? An F430? It's supercar racing. It's very good in the fact that fuel strategies do not play a part in the outcome since they are all fuelled to the end of the race! What they do pit for though is a new driver. Each car has two drivers to last the hour! Don't worry there are two races so it isn't uber short or anything and besides you'll only ever find a highlights program on mainstream TV in the UK!
One thing I did find quite odd is that they seem to have a lot of technical problems. Lots of deflated tyres. In a half hours highlights show it seemed as though there were over eight punctures! WOW. It's like they didn't think to develop tyres that last.
Whatever I think the series is awesome and is a real recommendation for any car enthusiast or purely motorsport fan! Even if it is only half an hours worth of highlights. I personnaly would rather watch a whole race but will take what's given.
