Skodas are good! Honest.

In the days when I came to existence on this rock floating around interstellar space, Skodas weren't very good at all, in fact, they were a joke.

Th Skoda I always remember is the Felicia which was terrible in almost every regard. The only good thing about the car is that it isn't made any more. Fortunately Skoda haven't continued the trend of making awful cars.

This probably has something to do with Skoda being owned by the VW group. The Fabia is after all just a Polo with different styling. There is a bit more to it than that of course but not too much. The Fabia does have some mild revisions to the chassis and suspension, incidentally these make it a better drive than the Polo. I don't think it handles quite as sweetly as the VW but it rides so much better.

The Octavia has Golf underpinnings and the Superb is just a VW Passat. So what you're buying really, are Volkswagons. The thing is, Skodas cost about half as much. They also show that you are no snob and that you won't pay extra in the belief that a VW will make you look cool! It won't, by the way.

In any case, Skodas are half price VW's, or, in other words, good!
