WOW!

Just wow.

Jenson Button today in Montreal produced one of the most stunning drives in my memory. So much happened to him that I cannot keep count or recollect half of it but unlike Lewis, when his chips were down, he turned his frustration into pure pace. I'm not sure how but after his entanglement with Alonso, Jenson nursed an injured car back to the pits and joined the que behind the safety car in 21st place. From there he fought his way all the way back to first.

What this marks is quite a critical point in the season. Jenson was by far the quickest driver in Monaco too but Monaco being Monaco the strategy didn't quite work i.e. he got stuck after his pit stops. In Canada no one even got close to Button during the race. It's quite stunning but at one point he was travelling two seconds a lap faster than anyone else. That's like playing a game with the difficulty turned down! It seems that at the moment Jenson is the guy with the pace.

So what's going wrong in Qualifying? To be honest I'm not sure. My only guess is that his style of driving, super smooth by the way, doesn't generate enough heat in the tyres for him to nail it. Even so you'd have thought that with that kind of disadvantage he'd have trouble keeping his slicks hot in the cold Canada weather today.

And that's the wierd thing with Jens, you never know quite what you're going to get. A guy struggling to keep pace with cold tyres or a guy with the game difficulty turned down. Either way, after today Jenson thoroughly deserves to be second in the title hunt. Question is, can he keep his form up? If so, Vettel beware.

Thank god the images are back, well thankyou for reading this blog and please come back again, or I'll miss you.
